With Norgeskart Outdoors, you can easily register and categorize points of interest, routes, and areas, as well as record tracks. The app allows you to organize your data by creating custom categories with unique colors and styles/icons for each category. If desired, you can write and read your data to/from GPX files or synchronize it across multiple devices and the map portal norgeskart.avinet.no. Additionally, sharing files with others from within the app is a breeze.

- Extensive Selection of Outdoor Maps and Map Layers -

This app offers users a wide range of maps and map layers to choose from. You can access more than 40 beautifully designed topographical maps from the Norwegian mapping authorities for offline use by downloading them ahead of time. Unlike many other apps that limit you to only one layer at a time, Norgeskart Outdoors allows you to combine as many layers as you want to create a comprehensive overview of your surroundings. For example, you can enable layers such as Pistes, Avalanche Steepness, and Weak Ice simultaneously.

- Custom Map Creation and Map Layers -

If you are missing a specific map or map layer, Norgeskart Outdoors now supports adding your own maps and layers from various services such as WMS, WMTS, XYZ, and TMS. The Norwegian website geonorge.no is an excellent source for additional maps and layers within Norway. You can also experiment with adding maps from other countries, although the app only supports Mercator and UTM33 projections.

- Plan and Track Your Trips with TellTur -

With the TellTur feature, you can conveniently plan your next trip by accessing trip suggestions and descriptions from telltur.no. Once you arrive at a tour destination, you can use the app to register your visit and even compete with others to visit the most places.
